Next to The Strokes as the most iconic indie band of the 00s, part of the garage rock revival thing and they were damn good at it. Those first two records are definitive classics with some of the most showstopping tunes in indie history. Slowly lost their soul over the next few decades and hit their highest commercial peak with the vacant 'AM'. Do I care what this band has to do for the next several decades? Hell no. Never will take away how special they were for a brief couple years.
